Designed Life Challenge day 7
Designed Life Challenge, Day 7
From Inspiration to Action
Writing prompts:
What’s one space in your home that’s asking to be transformed? List five tiny actions you could take – each taking less than 10 minutes.
What is one time in your life when taking one small step led to unexpected momentum? Why did you take that step?
Write about something you’ve saved for inspiration (a photo, an image, a page of a magazine). What specific element draws you to it? How could you implement just that one aspect?
Vault:
The importance of breaking down big projects into small tasks

Small Steps, Big Impact
Great design doesn’t happen overnight. It unfolds through a series of small, intentional choices. Whether it’s refining a space in your home, tackling a creative project, or drawing inspiration from history and culture, every step brings new depth and perspective.
Embracing Change and Adaptability
A home is never static. It grows and changes with the people who live in it, shaped by daily routines, spontaneous moments, and the passage of time. For me, home isn’t about perfection. It’s about adaptability. I don’t seek to control every detail, nor do I see transformation as an urgent necessity. Instead, I allow my space to evolve naturally, reflecting the lives of those who inhabit it.

The Power of Small Steps
In my creative work, I don’t procrastinate. Ideas flow, projects take shape, and execution feels instinctive. But when it comes to business-related tasks; paperwork, contracts, invoices… I tend to let them linger. Over time, I’ve learned that small steps make all the difference. Each completed document, each resolved administrative task brings an unexpected sense of relief. Just like in design, momentum builds from action. What starts as a small effort turns into a shift in mindset, making the next step easier.

Finding Inspiration in the Unexpected
Today, I saved over twenty images: houses, facades, interiors. All tied to a specific rural and cultural area. I wasn’t just collecting references. I was absorbing a feeling. One particular house caught my attention: a geometric pattern relief on a facade, bold yet intricate. That detail will become a defining element in my design for a dairy brand’s store interior. The color palettes, the textures, even the history of the region, each fragment fuses to the final vision.
Cultural research isn’t just about authenticity; it’s about connection. By immersing myself in the essence of a place, I don’t just design a space. I craft an experience. The process is as much about feeling as it is about aesthetics.
